More information about Picpoul de Pinet - Domaine de Belle Mare
With the Domaine de Belle Mare Picpoul de Pinet comes a first-class white wine in the swirled glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully bright, light yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from the Old World offers wonderfully expressive aromas of pear, apple, nashi pear and quince, rounded off by sun-warmed rocks and forest floor.
This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As one might naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this French naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this melting white wine presents itself on the palate. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally thrills with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by sand and clay.
Vinification of the Domaine de Belle Mare Picpoul de Pinet
The basis for the balanced Picpoul de Pinet from the Languedoc are grapes from the grape variety Melon de Bourgogne. The grapes grow near the rivers in the Languedoc. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and sand. Due to the balancing influence of the nearby river, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic partiality. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of the fermentation, the Picpoul de Pinet is left to mature on its fine lees for a few months.
