Touraine is a unique landscape in France and has always been the home of Domaine de Marcé.

Domaine de Marcé- associated with Touraine
The French writer Léon Gozlan describes 'his' Touraine as follows: 'Touraine - There is a province in France to which one can never pay enough admiration. Fragrant as Italy, covered with flowers as the banks of the Guadalquivir, and beautiful, moreover, in its own character, it is wholly French and has always been French. Yes, Touraine is France, and the Loire, which flows through Touraine, is to us the epitome of the national stream.' It is not for nothing that Touraine is called the 'Garden of France'. The Domaine de Marcé itself is located in the commune of Oisly and is one of the highest places in the region, at 131 metres above sea level. Apart from its "altitude", its beautiful, gently sloping hillsides facing the rising sun, and its mild climate, the great peculiarity of Oisly lies in its soil, which consists of fine sand on a layer of clay. The sand brings finesse, elegance and suppleness to the wine. The clay stores water and thus avoids water stress in summer. It in turn brings fatness, depth and substance.
The Godet family - the face of Domaine de Marcé
The family has been cultivating Domaine de Marcé for 6 generations and now owns 35 hectares of vineyards. Today Christophe Godet runs the vineyard, who has been diligently helping since his childhood. He, too, is working on a high quality level and is still happy to receive tips from his father Daniel, who retired in 2008. But it is this sense of family that reflects Touraine: days are spent in peace and traditions are upheld. An attempt is made not to give in to the contagious hustle and bustle and to be in bondage only to the machine and also to time. The Godet family traditionally remains linked to the Domaine de Marcé for life.

The vineyards of the Domaine de Maré
The main grape variety Sauvignon thrives on the loamy-sandy soil in the border region between Sologne and Touraine. The special soil and the traditional expertise make it possible to vinify a wine that is highly appreciated by connoisseurs. 80% of the cultivated area is used for the Sauvignon grape variety. Chardonnay is cultivated on just 2 hectares. The remaining 20 % are reserved for the red varieties, such as
- Gamay
- Cabernet
- Côt and
- Pineau d'Aunis

TheGodet family with "their" Domaine de Marcé is a genuine wine dynasty and masters the first-class French wine craft.
