More information about Sancerre Rosé AOC - Domaine Michel Thomas

The Sancerre Rosé from the wine-growing region of the Val de Loire shows in the glass in bright rosé. This varietal French wine flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of oranges, pink grapefruit, grapefruits and lemons. These are joined by hints of other fruits.

The Domaine Michel Thomas Sancerre Rosé presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine connoisseur. This rosé wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. The final of this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region of the Val de Loire, more precisely from Sancerre, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and volcanic rock.

Vinification of the Domaine Michel Thomas Sancerre Rosé

The basis for the balanced Sancerre Rosé from the Val de Loire are grapes from the Pinot Noir variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Val de Loire. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of flint, limestone and volcanic rock. The grapes for this rosé wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Domaine Michel Thomas Sancerre Rosé

Experience this rosé wine from France ideally moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as a companion to baked feta cheese parcels, coconut-lime fish curry or Thai cucumber salad.
