The roots of Domaines Jean Michel Cazes lie in the Bordeaux region, more precisely in the Médoc.

Domaines Cazes – Everything began in Bordeaux
The first wine estates acquired by Jean Michel in the 1930s were Châteaux Lynch-Bages in Pauillac and Château Les Ormes-de-Pez in Saint-Èstephe. Since these first acquisitions, further estates in Bordeaux as well as in Châteauneuf du Pape have been added. Beyond the borders of the Grande Nation, the portfolio of premium wineries has also expanded – wine is now produced in Australia and in the Douro Valley by Jean Michel Cazes.
Eight estates – one credo
In addition to the estates mentioned at the beginning, the following are also included...
- Château Cordeillan-Bages in Pauillac
- Château Villa Bel-Air in the Graves region
- Domaine L’Ostal Cazes in the Minervois La Livinière appellation
- Domaine des Sénéchaux in Châteauneuf du Pape
- Xisto Roquette E Cazes in cooperation with Jorge Roquette of Quinta do Crasto from the Douro Valley in Portugal
- Tapanappa in Wrattonbully, Australia, which is a cooperation between the Bollinger family and Australian winemaker Brian Croser
... among the estates in which Jean Michel Cazes has a major stake or which he owns. Yet as different as the terroirs of the estates of Domaines Jean Michel Cazes may be, they all have one thing in common – the consistently high standards and ambitions of Jean Michel Cazes.
