Drei Freunde Wine – Because the best wines are the ones we drink with friends

With Joko Winterscheidt and Matthias Schweighöfer, two of the best-known TV personalities in Germany stand behind Drei (III) Freunde. What began with a simple Facebook message has now become a true success story. You can taste the meticulousness of everyone involved in every sip of this project, which is not just a pure marketing venture. Quality is the top priority here!

You can see from the social media appearances that they really are genuine friends. Just like the friends, their wines also have a particularly approachable character.

The wine selection from III Freunde

The III Freunde now have four of their own wines on the market. Behind the simply and modernly designed labels are:

• Pinot Gris
• Rosé
• Riesling
• Sparkling wine

The first Pinot Gris – the favorite grape variety of the three friends – was launched in 2016. The grapes for this, as for every wine, are harvested by hand. When creating the Pinot Gris, countless variants were tried and tasted until they finally found a wine that all the friends liked. The range, which now consists of four wines, is still selected in exactly the same way today. All wines have a full-bodied and easy-drinking character with a balanced acidity, making them the perfect companions for a convivial gathering. 

The grape varieties at Drei Freunde

The grapes that the 3 friends vinify for their wines come from old and young vineyards around the Rheinhessian town of Alsheim. All vines grow here on loess and calcareous marl soils. The following grape varieties have found their way into the wine world of III Freunde:
