The Pinot Blanc from the Rheinhessen wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright light yellow. On the nose, this Drei Freunde white wine shows all kinds of lemons, pineapple and pears. As if that were not already impressive enough, further aromas such as minerals are added.
The Drei Freunde Pinot Blanc presents itself to the connoisseur as wonderfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or austere, but round and smooth. On the palate, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Thanks to its present acidity, the Pinot Blanc appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the Rheinhessen wine-growing region finally delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of pineapple and pear appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and loess-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Drei Freunde Pinot Blanc
The basis for the well-balanced Pinot Blanc from Rheinhessen is grapes of the Pinot Blanc variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of limestone and loess. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for a few months on the fine lees before finally being bottled.

This German white wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11–13°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with coconut-lime fish curry, fried trout with ginger and pear, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
