As enchanting as the prestigious wines of the Duchessa Lia winery is its story.

It is said that “Lia” was a young girl who lived in the mid-19th century in a small village in Monferrato. She was so full of natural elegance, sincerity, and beauty that everyone called her “Duchess,” despite her rural origins.

The Duchessa Lia winery combines history and wine culture. The wines come from the world-famous wine-growing regions of Astigiano, Monferrato, and Langhe, all of which have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is how, with the hallmark of Duchessa Lia, the Nobili Vini del Piemonte are created.  

Tradition and modernity

The Capetta family has been successfully running the winery for three generations and places particular importance on the quality of each product, with the greatest respect for the environment and for enhancing the fantastic Piedmontese winegrowing heritage.
