The Fattoria della Talosa has been owned since 1972 by Angelo Jacorossi, a well-known entrepreneur from Rome. Talosa was one of the first companies in Montepulciano to consistently dedicate itself to quality and is partly responsible for the reputation of this wine appellation in Italy and throughout the world.

Meticulousness & Quality

Talosa cultivates 32 hectares of vineyards located in one of the most beautiful areas of Montepulciano at an altitude of 350-400 meters. These are tended with almost manic care, because the quality of the grapes - including Sangiovese - should guarantee wines worthy of bearing the company's name.

Stunning historic wine cellars

The cellar for the aging of the wine in wooden barrels is located in the historic center of Montepulciano, precisely in the cellars of two of the oldest palazzi in the city: Tarugi and Sinatti. In the corridors, built entirely of bricks, there are abundant vaults and niches where the barrels are stored. This evocative ambience, forces the visitor to respect, almost reverence, the same respect and reverence that Talosa shows in the work in the vineyards and the production of the wines themselves.
