Flor de Caña

in 1890, Francisco Pellas founded the country's first rum distillery in the heart of his plantations. A short time later, he allowed small quantities of rum to mature longer in wooden barrels.

Business with the higher-quality rums went so well that the Pellas family founded the Compañia Licorera de Nicaragua in 1937 and, with the Flor de Caña brand, which means "flower of the sugar cane," has remained completely dedicated to the production of high-quality spirits to this day. Even today, the company is still family-owned, now in the 5th generation.

Rums from Flor de Caña are the highest awarded rums in the world with over 150 international awards. This success is based on quality control throughout the production process and meets the highest standards.
