View of the vineyards of Petit Béret

Pleasure, even without alcohol

Le Petit Béret is located in the middle of the vineyards of Languedoc-Roussillon in France. The founders, all engineers, were driven by the ambition to make the best vineyards accessible to everyone through an alcohol-free, organic drink.
5 years of research and development were necessary to create a wine made without alcohol and fermentation.

Languedoc, the place of origin of Petit Béret wines, is located in the very southeast of France and is characterized by a hot, Mediterranean climate. The drought in summer is a major challenge for any agriculture, olive trees and vines are a few of the few plants that survive in these conditions without extensive irrigation. Viticulture was probably brought to the country by the Romans, although there is evidence of Greek presence before that.

After the fall of the Roman Empire, viticulture lost its supra-regional importance, which it was to regain only in the Middle Ages through the Church. After a chequered history, Languedoc wines have now returned to a high standard of quality.

The wines of the Languedoc are very versatile, among other things also owed to the climate change which forces the winegrowers to rethink and to switch to robust grape varieties.

The success of Petit Béret

For the creations, they brought on board Dominique Laporte, one of the best sommeliers. He creates the aromatic blends and thus highlights the qualities of Syrah, Sauvignon or even Grenache Cinsault.
The commitment was rewarded in 2015 with the "Coup de Pousse à l'innovation 2015". Le Petit Béret is one of the most innovative companies in the food industry.

A sip of Petit Béret goes always

"Le Petit Béret is a revolution in the wine world: finding an aromatic and sensory balance that pays tribute to the grape varieties of our region, without alcohol and without fermentation."
Dominique Laporte

Innovation paired with important characteristics

However, Le Petit Béret scores not only with its innovative alcohol-free winemaking process, but also with the following characteristics:

  • without alcohol, fermentation or dealcoholization steps
  • low in sugar and calories
  • vegan
  • no sulphites or preservatives
  • organic and ecological cultivation
