More information about Vieilles Vignes Nuits-Saint-Georges - Domaine Moillard
With the Vieilles Vignes Nuits-Saint-Georges - Domaine Moillard, a first-class red wine flows into the swirling glass. It reveals a wonderfully dense, light red color. When the glass is swirled, this red wine displays high viscosity, which shows in the church windows on the rim of the glass. Poured into a Burgundy goblet, this red wine from France presents delightfully refined aromas of blackcurrants, strawberries and blackberry, rounded off by vanilla contributed by barrel aging.
On the palate, Les Argillats Nuits Saint Georges from Domaine Moillard starts off wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an exceptionally silky and dense texture. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Burgundy wine-growing region, more precisely from the Côte de Nuits and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, ultimately delights with an extraordinary length. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the slate- and gravel-dominated soils.
Vinification of Domaine Moillard Les Argillats Nuits Saint Georges
This powerful red wine from France is vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In Burgundy, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on slate and gravel soils. The ripening of the grapes for this Pinot Noir wine is strongly influenced by the climate of the growing region. In Burgundy, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and a rather moderate must weight. The berries for this red wine from France are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day once they are perfectly ripe, in order to preserve their aromatics. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Les Argillats Nuits Saint Georges is matured for several months in French oak barriques.
