Founded in 1951 in Brissac, in the heart of the Angevin vineyard, Les Caves de la Loire asserts itself as one of the jewels of Loire Valley viticulture. With 70 years of history, it is an institution with inescapable know-how that is constantly modernized. Since 1951, Les Caves de la Loire brings together 160 winegrowers and represents 2,200 hectares of vines in Anjou, Saumur, Chinonais and Touraine. At the foot of the Château de Brissac, the highest castle in France, Les Caves de la Loire assert themselves as one of the region's wine and winemaking specialists.

Les Caves de la Loire - Sustainability

Les Caves de la Loire have been IFS / BRC certified since 2005. The cooperative is committed to sensible and sustainable viticulture through its own guidelines, which are implemented by all winemakers. The winery is therefore committed to sustainable development with the badge Vignerons Engagements, introduced in 2011. Added to this is the ISO 26000 certification, which gives the guidelines for companies and organizations to act in a socially responsible way. It means acting ethically and transparently to contribute to the health and well-being of society.

Engaged winemakers are also a social component, which is why once a year a trip is organized with the cooperative to visit other winemakers and discuss common issues. Participating in internal events and organizing external events such as the Rando Gourmande, which takes place every year and is open to the public are also an important point for your social interaction. At the staff level, you organise training days on your dedicated winemaking approaches and present them as in the exhibition "The place of women in the wine industry".
