Marc Brédif - pioneer in the past, classic today
The house of Marc Brédif traces its origins to the eponymous wine pioneer who created groundbreaking Vouvray wines in the early 20th century. in 1980, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the estate and made it part of his group. Distinctive to the Marc Brédif estate are the tufa cellars, the oldest of which date back to the 10th century and have long been used for storing wines. The oldest vintage still in storage is from 1874.
Wide selection at Marc Brédif
The soils of the area are quite varied, with clay-limestone, siliceous and sandy soils, allowing the Marc Brédif winery to select sites that best suit the grape varieties. In addition to the classic Vouvray, today the portfolio of Marc Brédif also includes the late harvest Nectar, various sparkling wines and some red and rosé wines, so that the estate has something to offer for every lover of Loire wines.
