Michter's American Whiskeys

Michter's (pronounced "Mickters" in English) is the epitome of premium, handcrafted American whiskey. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Michter's Distillery stands in the heartland of the U.S. whiskey industry and is an absolute beacon when it comes to the highest art of distillation.

Michter's brings a whole range of award-winning whiskey varieties to the market, most of them in very limited quantities, and Michter's is best known for its small batch bourbons. In addition, the U.S. distillery also offers the finest single barrel rye and unblended American whiskey in very small production runs, which are among the best on the market.

The history of Michter's goes way back, to the 18th century to be exact. The distillery was founded in 1753 by John Shenk, a Mennonite farmer from Switzerland, and is now run by Willie Pratt, a highly experienced distiller with the Brown-Forman Corporation. With over 40 years of experience in the whiskey industry, Pratt easily maintains the high level of Michter's Whiskey. He is assisted by Pam Heilmann, an experienced distiller and also vice president of Michter's Together, Willie and Pam form the core of one of Kentucky's most recognized whiskey production teams.
