The Château d'Aussières Corbières from Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is a finesse-rich, expressive and elegant red wine cuvée from the French wine-growing region Corbières in Languedoc. This wine is vinified from the grape varieties Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. 

In the glass, this wine shimmers an intense dark red with purple highlights. Expressive aromas of dark forest fruits, licorice and herbs combine in the open, generous nose to form a fruity-spicy composition - to which are added subtle hints of lavender. This French red wine caresses the well-concentrated palate smoothly and charmingly with its Mediterranean character and the silky, fresh tannins before this wine flows into the long finish. A Château d'Aussières red wine of very special density and finesse as an expression of the terroir.

Vinification of the Château d'Aussières Corbières

The Château d'Aussières is the top wine of the estate. This red wine is the result of a consistent selection of the best grapes from the best vineyards. Therefore, this wine is produced only in small quantities. After alcoholic fermentation, 40% is aged in new oak barrels for 12 to 16 months.
