More information about Rotwein Reserve trocken - Givany Wines
The Rotwein Reserve from the house of Givany Wines from Armavir presents a dense, ruby-red color in the glass. With a slight tilt, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the rim. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals great density and richness, which shows in the “church windows” on the glass. This wine flatters the nose in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of plums. In addition, there are hints of toasted wood and blackcurrant.
On the palate, the Rotwein Reserve from Givany Wines starts off pleasantly dry, tannic and aromatic. The finish of this matured red wine from the Armavir region, more precisely from the Ararat Valley, ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of Givany Wines Rotwein Reserve
The powerful Rotwein Reserve from Armenia is a cuvée made from the Haghtanak and Milagh grape varieties. After being hand-picked, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Rotwein Reserve is aged for several more months in oak barrels.
