Sibona Antica Distilleria

The historic distillery Antica Distilleria Domenico Sibona S.p.A. has its headquarters in Piedmont, in the heart of the production area of the Nebbiolo grape variety and great wines such as Barolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato, to name but a few, more precisely in the municipality of Piobesì d'Alba, just a few kilometers from Alba. Still huete it stands in the same location where it was founded just over a centuryago and where before it stood a brick distillery. To this day the distillery is family owned.

Since its foundation, Antica Distilleria Sibona has always seen itself as an artisan business, where single-varietal grappas are produced with great dedication and craftsmanship using a continuous distillation process. The marcs for this are delivered fresh from the surrounding wineries and immediately distilled, then stored and aged in small wooden barrels. The results are smooth, soft, aromatic grappas that enjoy great popularity and high recognition internationally. 

In addition to the exquisite grappas, Sibona also produces bitters and liqueurs, including Barolo Chinato, which is excellent with chocolate. As a special gag, Distilleria Sibona has created a Sibona cigar that you don't smoke but.... drink.

Antica Distilleria Sibona holds the No.1 distilling license from the U.T.F., the financial authority that supervises all the work done in the distillery, and can thus justifiably boast of having been the first distillery to obtain this license to distill. A sign of the important past and prestige of the historic distillery.
