Winery Stefano Accordini in the middle of Valplicella

The history of the Stefano Accordini winery begins in the early 20th century. At that time it was Stefano's father who produced the first wines on the still leased land. Later, in the 1970s, it was Stefano who bought the first vineyard to fulfill his dream of owning his own winery. He immediately began producing wines for the local market.

Expansion of vineyards and markets

The sons, Tiziano and Daniele, sensed that the company could only take a leap forward with a more cautious and conscious look at the future. After reviewing some of the technological and quality aspects, the family planted new vineyards, removed the oldest barrels from the cellar, and modernized the winemaking processes in order to enter foreign markets.

Valpolicella Classica

The new millennium was of fundamental importance for the Stefano Accordini winery. For it was decided to move wine production to the upper Valpolicella Classica, it was a bet that would lead to excellent quality wines . The project began with the purchase of 10 hectares in Cavalo, located in the Fumane Valley at 550 meters above sea level. The success was made possible thanks to Titiano's commercial skills and Daniele's oenological knowledge, but also their wives Eleonora and Raffaella and their children Giacomo, Paolo and Marco played an important role, as they were always available to support the Accordini brothers' decisions and ideas.

The decision to produce in the mountains proved to be very fruitful: as the wines, both in taste and aroma were unique. In 2011 after buying the land and cultivating the vineyards, the construction of the new cellar continued.

The highest cellar in Valpolicella Classica

Today, your farm has 25 hectares of vineyards on the highest area of Valpolicella Classica. Thanks to the particular climate and soil conditions of this area, your wines have special and unmistakable characteristics.

The fourth generation

Today, Giacomo, Paolo and Marco continue the family business with great passion and commitment, focusing on natural and environmental sustainability. All the vineyards of the winery are managed according to the new organic objectives and their new farmhouse is entirely powered by energy from photovoltaic panels.
