Kenny Pellegrino hits the nail on the head with his young company Vino Pellegrino! The serious wine entrepreneur with Danish and Italian roots loves Italian wines and has good contacts to vintners from Italy. He secures suitable batches of above-average wines from wineries in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Apulia, which perfectly correspond to the current demand trend, and markets them in an attractive outfit with his own labels. The wines make a visual "splash" and the contents match the positive appearance.

Again and again, he proves to have a good hand in choosing his wines, and the trade press is correspondingly enthusiastic.

Kenny Pellegrino - Vita

Kenny Pellegrino (born 1977) discovered his interest in wine when he did an apprenticeship at the supermarket Gobi and worked in the wine department for the last two years of his apprenticeship. At that time, Gobi probably had the largest wine selection in Denmark.

After another three years at Gobi, he got a job at Kjær & Sommerfeldt, but Italy and Italian wine were on the decline. As his last name clearly indicates, Italian blood runs in his veins - his father is Italian. So he went to Italy to learn more about winemaking. Among other things, he worked at the Col d'Orcia winery in Montalcino.

When Kenny Pellegrino was back in Denmark, he got a job as a buyer for GobiVin. He was here for eight years until he founded his own company StarWineConsult in 2008, which, among other things, helps Italian wineries to export.

Most of his free time is spent with wine. He attends many tastings with good friends and is working hard to complete his wine studies, the WSET Diploma (Certified WSET Intermediate and Advanced). He also writes articles about wine for various media outlets.

He also travels a lot and spends a lot of time both in Italy and in Norway, where he has family.
