Winery Andres in the Palatinate

There are numerous wineries in the Palatinate. In the small village of Speyerdorf, however, there is only one: that of Yvonne and Jürgen Andres. The family has been living here for decades and has been cultivating wine for just as long. As late as in 1995, however, they decided to advance from a pure grape producer to a wine producer and to bottle the first wine themselves. 

For this purpose, the Andres winery works according to ecological principles. At the Andres Winery, only organic fertilizer is used. In addition, various grasses and herbs are sown to provide a home for insects. The year-round greening of the soil with natural wild herbs provides so much habitat for useful insects. Sustainability and respect for nature are a matter of course at the Andres Winery.

The development

Omission is the maxim in the development of the wines of the winery Andres. The musts are fermented spontaneously and stored exclusively on natural yeasts. Thereby the wines reach a high complexity and have a good ageing potential in the bottle. The philosophy of the Andres Winery sees the main work and basis for good wine in the vineyard, so finally only minimally invasive work is done in the cellar.

The Wines

Yvonne and Jürgen Andres of Weingut Andres cultivate a varied portfolio of white wine, red wine, rosé and sparkling wine. In addition, there is the mulled wine and hot drink line "Winterpulle", which offers a classic red, a white, a rosé and a non-alcoholic hot drink. The vegan and gluten-free mulled wines draw most of their sweetness from the grapes themselves. The winter mulled wines are made from quality wine from the grape varieties Dornfelder, Portugieser or Müller-Thurgau. Vegan wine cocktails under the name "Sinnenrausch" also complement the range.
