A lot of effort for the top wines

In Göttlesbrunn, the Markowitsch winery has about 40 hectares of vineyards. Here, growth conditions are outstanding in every respect. Red grape varieties such as Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive on about two-thirds of the winery's vineyards. However, Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc, which are popular in Austria, also show excellent growth and high quality on the winery's vineyards. In addition, the company buys a selected share from special contract winemakers. The grapes are processed quite elaborately into top-quality wines, as they are intended to live up to the declared claim of presenting the typical taste of the Carnuntum wine-growing region. The Markowitsch winery has been successful in this endeavor. It is regarded in the region as the great role model for regional viticulture and offers with its wines a source of inspiration for many young winemakers.
