Aged in barrel, the Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP from the Languedoc wine-growing region reveals a dense purplish red in the glass. At the rim, there is also a color transition into garnet red. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals great density and richness, which shows in pronounced “church windows” on the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Baronne reveals aromas of mulberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries, complemented by further fruity nuances. On the palate, the Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP from Baronne starts off wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine presents itself as delightfully velvety. Thanks to its well-balanced acidity, the Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP caresses the palate with a soft feel, while still not lacking in juicy vibrancy. On the finish, this matured red wine from the Languedoc wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of blueberry and blackberry appear.
Vinification of the Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP from Baronne
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP cuvée from Baronne is Carignan, Grenache and Syrah grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the organically produced Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP is aged for several more months in oak barriques. Once the wine is finished, the Alaric Corbières Rouge AOP is gently harmonized.
