With Qotot Areni, a first-class red wine finds its way into the glass. It reveals a wonderfully bright ruby-red color. If you tilt the glass slightly, you can see at the edges a transition of the wine’s color toward garnet red. On the nose, this Qotot red wine reveals all kinds of blackberries. As if that were not impressive enough, further aromas such as red currant and black currant join in.
On the palate, Qotot’s Areni opens wonderfully dry, firm, and aromatic. The finish of this matured red wine from the Vayots Dzor region, more precisely from Areni, ultimately delights with a lovely aftertaste.
Vinification of Qotot Areni
This well-balanced red wine from Armenia is made from the Areni grape variety. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for Qotot Areni
Ideally, enjoy this red wine from Armenia slightly chilled at 15–18°C as an accompanying wine with a wide variety of dishes; it is, however, also a pleasure on its own.
