Vintae - One group, one passion
Vintae has its origins in the passion for wine of José Miguel Arambarri Terrero, a Riojan businessman who decided in 1999 to return to the family origins by bringing back to La Rioja the Moscatel de Grano Menudo variety, which once disappeared due to phylloxera. His vision led him to Castillo de Maetierra and Maetierra Dominum, the two wineries that were the beginning of Vintae and where Terrero started producing Libalis. With his two sons Richi and José Miguel, Vintae took its final shape.
In 2003 the wine collection Hacienda López de Haro was created, from 2004 they started to explorevineyards in Ribera del Duero (Bardos), Navarra (Aroa) and Ribera del Queiles (Garnachas project). In 2006 the project started in Toro (Matsu) and the Bodega Classica was built in San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
Today, Vintae has more than 300 hectares of its own vineyards and cultivates 38 different grape varieties to produce 35 different wines, which are then exported to more than 60 countries worldwide.

Vintae has formulated the principles of production and love for wine in its own decalogue:
- Wine is a universal drinkyou do not have to be an expert to enjoy it.
- The goal of all those who produce at Vintae is to is to spread the passion for wine.. to more people every day, no matter how far away they are.
- Every bottle of wine must tell the Story of its birthplace.
- Wine is another way of Travel, to the landscape, traditions and culture of a region discover.
- A vineyard is never too far away. Going out to explore new places is essential to continue creating new wines.
- There are many lost, hidden or abandoned vineyards waiting to be , to be explored to create unique wines.
- Each region has its own way of honoring To honor wine. Respecting it and trusting the winemakers of each place is essential to reflect its authenticity.
- Nature is the best winemaker. No one knows better than her the rhythm and cycles that the grape needs to give us the best of us in each harvest.
- Sustainability and Respect for the environment are our greatest responsibility. If we want the earth to continue to give us great joys, we must care for it with the same affection it has for us.
- The secret to continuing to create great wines is to never stop dreamingis to never stop dreamingto make them come true.

The wineries of Vintae
- Bodega Hacienda López de Haro: located in the DO La Rioja appellation, in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, three collections have been created here (Hacienda López de Haro, Classica and El Pacto)
- Maetierra: is a winery specialized in white wines in La Rioja, more precisely in La Rioja Oriental in Calahorra. Here Vintae has been planting Moscatel de Grano Menudo, considered the most aromatic variety in the world, since 1999. The Melante and the Libalis collection are vinified here.
- Matsu: located in the DO Toro; here wines are vinified from vines over 100 years old. The result is four modern wines made with minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar.
- Aroa: A pioneer winery in the recovery of organic and biodynamic farming methods in the DO Navarra, which also holds the Sustainable Management Certificate.... Based on ancestral methods and biodynamic practices, Aroa produces organic and natural wines that remain faithful to the privileged area in which it is located, the Navarra Yerri Valley, protected by the Urbasa and Andía mountain ranges.
- Atlantis: The areas with the greatest potential for white wines in the country are in the north of Spain This is how Atlantis was born. Four wines from four different appellations of origin (Valdeorras, Rías Baixas, Ribeiro and Txakoli), created under the influence of the Atlantic climate with autochthonous varieties such as Albariño, Treixadura, Godello and Hondarrabi Zuri. What they all have in common is the influence of a cool climate with constant rainfall, which produces wines with the perfect balance between freshness and acidity.
- Proyecto Garnachas: a journey through the history of Garnacha from the eyes of Raúl Acha, Vintae's technical director and passionate defender of a grape variety historically reviled for its complicated viticulture. It all starts in the heart of his family, Cárdenas (La Rioja), where his great-grandfather planted Garnacha vineyards more than a hundred years ago. To demonstrate his importance, Raúl decides to look for similar cases of old Garnacha vineyards during a tour of the Ebro basin. On his way, he finds some of the vineyards that best reflect the essence of this variety. The result is a collection of fruity, fresh and mineral red wines that express the versatility and uniqueness of each production area.
- Bodega Bardos: In the harshest and coldest area of Ribera del Duero, at more than 940 metres above sea level, between the Burgos towns of Fuentemolinos and Moradillo de Roa, a wine collection is born in honour of all the men and women who dedicate their lives to the vineyard. The Páramo de Corcos is the most surprising and unknown region of Ribera, a plain of ten thousand hectares where wines grow in extreme conditions. Here, only the strongest vineyards can withstand extremely dry summers and endlessly long and harsh winters to offer us the most sought-after grape in the entire appellation.
