More information about Brut Grand Cru 0,375 l - Vesselle Georges
The Brut Grand Cru from the Champagne wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright light red. The mousse of this sparkling wine shines in the glass with very fine bubbles and is extremely persistent. After the first swirl, one can perceive an excellent balance in this sparkling wine, as it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. The initial nose of the Brut Grand Cru reveals nuances of raspberries and ripe apple. Mineral notes join the fruity components of the bouquet.
Balanced and multi-faceted, this light, creamy and crisp Champagne presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this sparkling wine from the Champagne wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of ripe apple and raspberry appear. In the aftertaste, additional mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Vesselle Georges Brut Grand Cru
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Brut Grand Cru cuvée from Vesselle Georges are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. In Champagne, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. The Brut Grand Cru is quite clearly also defined by the climatic and stylistic factors of Champagne. In the truest sense of the word, this French wine can be described as an Old World wine, which presents itself as exceptionally distinguished and complex. The fact that the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable impact on the ripening of the harvest. This is expressed, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and a rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines. After the composition of the final Champagne, further maturation takes place on the basis of the méthode champenoise. The Vesselle Georges Brut Grand Cru then matures in the bottle for several months and is finally disgorged.
