More information about Col Solare Cabernet Sauvignon - Marchesi Antinori

The powerful Cabernet Sauvignon from Col Solare flows into the glass with a dense purple color. At the edge, this U.S. red also shows a transition to garnet red. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. The nose of this red wine from Washington enchants with aromas of black currant, raisins, dried fruit and blueberry. It is its fruit-driven nature that makes this wine so special.

The Col Solare Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself to the wine enthusiast wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine icon wine segment. This dense red wine presents itself full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Cabernet Sauvignon is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this very storable from the Washington wine region finally inspires with exceptional length. There are again hints of blackberry and fruit bread.

Vinification of the Col Solare Cabernet Sauvignon

The powerful Cabernet Sauvignon from the USA is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for another 22 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Col Solare Cabernet Sauvignon

This red wine from the USA should be best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to leek tortilla, pumpkin casserole or leek soup.
