Marchesi Antinori

Marchesi Antinori. The heart beats Tuscany...

The Marchesi Antinori family is considered one of the oldest winemaking families in the world. The Tuscan countryside is famous for its beauty, which must be unique in the interplay of vines, olive groves and cypresses with castles and romantic oak forests. The Chianti Classico vineyard is located in the heart of this region where the Antinori family grows some of the most prestigious Italian wines. It has been dedicated to winemaking for over 600 years and was first documented in 1385 when it joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri, the Florentine winemakers.

Marchesi Antinori. Futuro Antico

26 generations of winemaking. The future is rooted in the past. Piero Marchese Antinori runs the company together with his three daughters, the Marquises Albiera, Allegra and Alessia. Looking at the history, today's work and the successes associated with it, it becomes clear what Antinori stands for: On the one hand, for traditions that have been built over centuries, on the other hand, for innovation, which is reflected in the new developments. Intuition and passion complete the canon of values of the Antinoris. The continuous experimentation in the vineyards and in the cellars, the spirit of innovation and the vision show the passion with which the Antinoris proceed in order to develop quality and sustainability. One of the most famous wines produced in the world was Tignanello 1970, a real revolution in the Tuscan and international wine world.
The company belongs to Primum Familiae Vini, which unites the world's best winemakers and allows exchanges. In addition to wine production, the company is also involved in olive oil production and runs restaurants and wine shops in Florence, Tuscany, Zurich, Vienna and Moscow. Piero Antinori incorporates his love of Tuscan art and culture into the work of the Accademia Antinori: This institution is dedicated to promoting art while protecting, collecting and researching the region's artistic treasures.

Marchesi Antinori. From Tuscany to the world

"Ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never hindered our spirit of innovation." (Marchese Piero Antinori)

Antinori nel Chianti Classico

Over time, the wine empire continues to grow. Today it includes select and well-known family-owned wineries in Tuscany and Umbria, Puglia, Piedmont and Franciacorta, in Europe and overseas. They give free rein to the Antinoris' thirst for research and progress to truly produce only excellent wines.
With the construction of the architecturally spectacular and innovative underground winery at the Antinori nel Chianti Classico headquarters in San Casciano Val di Pesa, as well as the new additions of the wineries in Chianti Classico San Sano and Tenuta Capraia, the family is clearly committed to its Tuscan roots.
