If you give it some air by swirling, this white wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this white wine from the Rhône Valley delights with nuances of physalis, mango, guava and lime. If we trace the aromatics further, bitter chocolate, cinnamon and gingerbread spice are added.

The M. Chapoutier Chante Alouette Hermitage blanc presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine connoisseur. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley finally thrills with exceptional length. Again, hints of acacia and pineapple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by slate and silicate rock join in.

Vinification of the M. Chapoutier Chante Alouette Hermitage blanc

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Marsanne. Only the best grape material was brought in for this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from M. Chapoutier. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand, shale, granite and silicate rock. Clearly, Chante Alouette Hermitage blanc is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Hermitage. This French can literally be described as an Old World wine, exceptionally distinguished and complex. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Chante Alouette Hermitage blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, Chante Alouette Hermitage blanc is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
