More information about Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc AOC - Vieux Télégraphe

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc of Vieux Télégraphe from the Rhône Valley presents a bright, light yellow color in the glass. When swirling the wine glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out on the walls of the glass, neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. To the nose, this Vieux Télégraphe white wine reveals all sorts of kumquats, lemons, grapefruits and limes.

On the palate, Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Balanced and multi-faceted, this silky white wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this well storable from the wine-growing region the Rhône Valley finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of grapefruit and cherry blossom appear.

Vinification of the Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

The starting point for Vieux Télégraphe's premium and wonderfully balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc cuvée is Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne grapes. Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this white wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes quickly enter the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc can continue to harmonize for 9 months on the fine lees....

This French wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to omelet with salmon and fennel, asparagus salad with quinoa or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
