Slightly slanted, a transition of hue towards is visible at the edges. This varietal French wine presents wonderfully complex notes of blackberry, plum, wild berry jam and violet in the glass. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, vanilla and dark chocolate.
Château de Jau Chez Jau Grenat Rivesaltes shows us an incredibly fruity flavor on the tongue, which is of course due to its residual sweet flavor profile. On the tongue, this punchy Fortified Wine is characterized by an incredibly dense and fleshy texture. With its present fruit acidity, Chez Jau Grenat Rivesaltes reveals itself to be exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this Rivesaltes from the wine-growing region of Roussillon, which can be stored well, finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of wild berry confit and mulberry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and slate are added.

This Rivesaltes clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Grenache. Only the best grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single varietal wine from Château de Jau. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Roussillon. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate and marl. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Chez Jau Grenat Rivesaltes are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of crude and less selective machinery.
