The powerful Château Gaillard St. Émilion Grand Cru from the Gaillard estate flows into the glass with a dense purple-red color. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet hue at the rim. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals great density and richness, which shows in distinct church windows on the glass wall. On the nose, this Gaillard red wine reveals all kinds of mulberries, plums, blackberries, blueberries and blackcurrants.
This dry red wine from Gaillard is for people who prefer their wines bone dry. Château Gaillard St. Émilion Grand Cru comes very close to that, having been vinified with just 0.3 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine presents itself as wonderfully velvety. Thanks to its present acidity, Château Gaillard St. Émilion Grand Cru reveals itself on the palate as exceptionally fresh and lively. The finish of this matured red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, more precisely from Saint-Émilion, finally delights with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of Gaillard Château Gaillard St. Émilion Grand Cru
This powerful red wine from France is organically produced from the Cabernet Franc and Merlot grape varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months in barriques made of oak. After the wine is completed, Château Gaillard St. Émilion Grand Cru is gently harmonized.
