More information about Douro Reserva - Feuerheerd's
Feuerheerd's elegant Douro Reserva glides into the glass with a bright purple color. The first nose of the Douro Reserva shows hints of plums, black currants and blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
Feuerheerd's Douro Reserva impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 10 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Portuguese naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully silky. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Douro Reserva flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region Douro & Porto finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of morello cherry and blackberry.
Vinification of the Douro Reserva from Feuerheerd's
This balanced red wine from Portugal is vinified from Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 12 months of aging in oak barrels.
