Fabelhaft Branco Douro DOC - Niepoort

The Fabulous Branco from Niepoort is a wonderful cuvée of Bical, Codega do Larinho, Dona Branca, Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho and other white grape varieties.

In the glass, this Portuguese white wine delights with its vibrant golden color. The aromatic bouquet treats the nose with refreshing citrus notes and mineral hints. The palate presents a lively acidity with aromas of yellow stone fruit and subtle hints of smoke. The finish reflects the terroir with its slightly salty nature. This white wine convinces all senses with its complexity.

Vinification of the Fabulous Branco

The manually harvested grapes of the Niepoort winery undergo a temperature-controlled and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, 15% of the Fabelhaft Branco is aged for 8 months in used French oak barriques.

We recommend this dry white wine especially with Mediterranean summer cuisine with pasta and seafood, steamed or grilled fish and white meat.
