More information about Grand Cru Classé Haut-Médoc AOC - Château Belgrave
In the glass, the Grand Cru Classé Haut-Médoc of Château Belgrave shows a bright purple color. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. The first nose of the Grand Cru Classé Haut-Médoc reveals notes of blueberry, blackcurrant and mulberry. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. As expected from a wine of this reputation, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this silky red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with exceptional length. There are again hints of blackberry and black currant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by gravel and sand are added.
Vinification of the Grand Cru Classé Haut-Médoc of Château Belgrave
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes are the starting point for Château Belgrave's first-class and wonderfully balanced Grand Cru Classé Haut-Médoc cuvée. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, sand and gravel. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Grand Cru Classé Haut-Médoc can continue to harmonize for 14 months on the fine lees in oak barrels....
