The founder of Huerta de Albalà, Vicente Taberner Carsi, had a dream: to vinify unforgettable, outstanding and great Andalusian red wines. Together with his team, he held on to this dream – with unshakable will, perseverance and enthusiasm.

It was not only the achievement of the final goal that was at the center for Huerta de Albalà. All the exciting experiences along this journey were also meant to be reflected in the wines.

The land where dreams come true

Huerta de Albalà lies 150 meters above sea level in Arcos de la Frontera. The estate extends over 91 hectares of gently rolling hills. Of these, 75 hectares are planted with 225,000 vines of the following varieties:

• Syrah
• Merlot
• Cabernet Sauvignon
• Tintilla de Rota

In the Balbaina wine-growing area in Jerez de la Frontera, Huerta de Albalà owns another 160 hectares of vineyards, planted predominantly with Chardonnay vines.

Dreamlike climatic conditions

All the vines grow in a unique microclimate, which is shaped by the nearby Bornos Reservoir, the Grazalema mountain range and a wide variety of soil types.

A dream winery cellar

The cellar of Huerta de Albalà is home to over 1,200 oak barrels. After years of research into how the wine reacts to oak from different geographical origins, only barrels from the best French cooperages are used.
