The I Tratturi Rosso from Cantine San Marzano from the Italian wine-growing region of Puglia is an uncomplicated fruity red wine.

This wine shines ruby red with violet reflections in the glass. On the nose, this red wine presents itself open and fruity. Aromas of red berries and a fine spiciness are revealed. On the palate, strawberry, cherry and cranberry flavors are dominant, yet allow a hint of fine spicy notes and Mediterranean herbs. The body presents itself as medium-bodied, but unfolds in an extremely uncomplicated manner, showing off the soft tannins. With a medium finish, this dry cuvée is a balanced and uncomplicated red wine.

Vinification of the Cantine San Marzano I Tratturi Rosso

The I Tratturi Rosso Salento is a cuvée of the grape varieties Sangiovese, the autochthonous Malvasia Nera and Aglianico. After the grape harvest and pressing, must and mash cake rest on the lees in steel tanks for 10 days and ferment. For aging, the young wine remains in stainless steel tank.
