Only very specific wines are suitable as the basis for Kessler Sekt sparkling wines in order to achieve a harmonious and at the same time distinctive sparkling wine. For this reason, Kessler's oenologists select not only quality wines from the region, but also from renowned wineries and wine producers in Germany or other European countries. The decisive factor is to identify the type of wines that succeed in creating a distinctive taste experience for sparkling wine connoisseurs.

Since its foundation, the House of Kessler has always relied on the traditional method and the bottle fermentation process. The top sparkling wines are now all produced according to the "méthode traditionnelle", which the company founder Georg Christian von Kessler brought to Germany from France 190 years ago. Some of the production is even still stored and shaken by hand in the medieval aging cellars of the Kessler house.

Kessler: Sparkling wine with premium standards

The aging period of Kessler's top sparkling wines ranges from 30 to over 60 months, depending on the cuvée. The long yeast storage ensures that a fine and intense fullness of flavor as well as a persistent perlage can develop in peace. Kessler sparkling wines have always been dry and are mainly marketed in the brut and extra brut dosages, as the Kessler sparkling wine brand and products are in the premium segment.
