Vinification of L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol by Château Gazin
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully powerful cuvée L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol from Château Gazin are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for the L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of rough and less selective machines. After the hand harvest, the wine grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in concrete at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
