More information about Les Launes Crozes-Hermitage AOC - Delas Frères

The powerful Les Launes Crozes-Hermitage from Delas Frères glides into the glass with a dense purple color. Swiveling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Rhône Valley seduces with nuances of lavender, morello cherry, plum and plum. If we trace the aromatics further, gingerbread spice, black tea and oriental spices are added.

On the palate, the Les Launes Crozes-Hermitage from Delas Frères starts out wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Some wines are dry, others bone dry. This red wine belongs to the latter group, as it was bottled with only 1.3 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this punchy red wine is wonderfully silky and fleshy. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the wine-growing region Rhône Valley finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of black cherry and lilac. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by granite and loess are added.

Vinification of the Les Launes Crozes-Hermitage by Delas Frères

This powerful red wine from France is vinified from the Syrah grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Rhône Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of granite and loess. Les Launes Crozes-Hermitage is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food pairing with the Delas Frères Les Launes Crozes-Hermitage

This red wine from France is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to braised chicken in red wine, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or osso buco.
