Winery Macià Batle -  Wines with body and soul

in 1856 the story begins for the Bodegas Macià Batle in Mallorca. The first wines from its own vineyards in Biniali are produced.

Some 141 years later - in 1997 - the descendants build a winery in Santa María del Camí. Not exactly unknown among Mallorca vacationers, it is located on one of the main arteries of the island. 

in 2003, the winery is bought by the Mallorcan entrepreneur Sebastià Rubí. in 2005, Macià Batle is expanded and becomes the reference for quality wine of Mallorca.

Today there are about 70 hectares of cultivated land that the winery Macià Batle owns. The vines grow at an altitude between 75 and 200 meters above sea level. Especially the sea in the north likes to send cold air to the Spanish sunny island. However, the vines of Macià Batle are fortunately protected by the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains and so the grapes develop their full flavor undisturbed in a warm environment. Together with the long summers and short winters, as well as slightly rainy spring and autumn, a mild microclimate has been created here, which is ideal for top quality grapes. The following grape varieties are grown at Macià Batle: 

• Manto Negro
• Callet
• Premsal
• Cabernet Sauvignon
• Merlot
• Shiraz

Quickly sold wines at Macià Batle

From these native or international grape varieties, the Macià Batle winery is able to produce typical Mallorcan wines that perfectly reflect the character of the island, but also magnificent cuvées. Among the inhabitants of Mallorca, as well as those throughout Spain, wines from Macià Batle are very popular. For example, the Rosados are the most quickly sold out. With the red wines, however, one should not hesitate too long. Due to the enormous demand, the winery has also grown in its production capabilities. Today, it manages a production of 600,000 liters per year.

No matter the location, to this day the Macià Batle winery produces high-quality wines with love and passion. However, the most modern viticultural technology is also used to meet the highest demands of wine connoisseurs. These wines have already received worldwide recognition, the Batles are unstoppable to this day.
