More information about Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage AOC - M. Chapoutier
Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage appears in the glass in a deep garnet red, which is crossed by violet reflections. The wonderful bouquet of this wine contains the fruity aromas of red berries, such as raspberries and currants, as well as hints of licorice and pepper.
On the palate, this red wine is round and elegant, concentrated and with soft tannins. The finish of this wine is marked by the red fruits and pepper already perceived.
Vinification for the Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage
Hermitage is located on the northern Rhône and covers about 136 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on granite quartz sand covered by mica schist and gneiss.
The climate is Mediterranean influenced and with its southern exposure, Hermitage offers the vines protection from cold north winds.
After hand harvesting, the grapes are destemmed, which means they are stripped of stems and stalks, pressed, and then fermented at a controlled temperature in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged in wooden barrels for 12 to 14 months.
Food recommendation for the Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage
