More information about Pommard AOP - Domaine Chanson

In the glass, the Pommard from Domaine Chanson shows a bright light red color. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, because it does not stand out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. In the glass, this red wine from Domaine Chanson shows aromas of raspberries, complemented by white pepper and vanilla. This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Frenchman enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the Burgundy wine region finally inspires with exceptional length. Once again, hints of raspberry appear.

Vinification of the Domaine Chanson Pommard

The balanced Pommard from France is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Pommard is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in small oak barrels.

Food pairing for the Pommard from Domaine Chanson

Drink this red wine from France best tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to stuffed peppers, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs.
