More information about Rasteau Rouge AOP - Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy

With the Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy Rasteau Rouge comes a first-class organic red wine in the swirled glass. Here it reveals a wonderfully dense, purple color. At the edges, it also shows a color transition into garnet red. In the glass, this French cuvée shows wonderfully distinguished notes of sour cherries. This is joined by hints of black pepper, smoky and mint/melissa.

The Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy Rasteau Rouge presents itself wonderfully dry to the connoisseur. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully silky. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Rasteau Rouge flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Provence finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of sour cherry.

Vinification of the Rasteau Rouge from Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy

The basis for the powerful Rasteau Rouge from Provence are grapes from the grape varieties Grenache and Syrah. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Rasteau Rouge from Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy
