Raúl Pérez is not only a striking figure with an expressive personality, but has already been given a wide variety of nicknames in the wine world: the Picasso of Spanish wine(José Peñín), the dazzling jack-of-all-trades(WeinWisser) or simply the rock star by other winemakers. 

The winemaker Raúl Pérez takes only the slightest influence on the grapes that grow in his vineyards in the Spanish wine region DO Bierzo. It also involves observing the soil, climate and ripening time of each grape variety. The Spanish winemaker lets the grapes grow each year according to their needs - without any additives. This results in vintages of strong character that are distinctive year after year. The vineyards are mainly planted with:

• Mencia

Friendship in all countries

Not only in Spain Raúl Pérez pursues his passion of winemaking. Also in Portugal with Dirk Niepoort or in South Africa with Eben Sadie he vinifies wines together, which all have their own personality - the climate, the terroir, the grapes.
