The castle of Castagnoli

Wines behind thick walls

Rocca di Castagnoli is a medieval castle in the village of the same name in Tuscany. The current logo of the brand shows the coat of arms of the noble Tempi family, which once owned the castle. Viticulture has been an important industry in the village since the 18th century, where very good wines have been produced ever since. in 1773 Duke Pietro Leopoldo visited the village and expressed his enthusiasm for the viticulture there.

From valleys up to the mountain

92 hectares of the 850-hectare estate are planted with vines, mainly Sangiovese for Chianti. The hills range in altitude from 380 to 860 meters above sea level.

Today the estate is part of the Tenute Cali group.
