In the glass, Sardarapati Areni Reserve from Voskeni Wines presents a bright ruby-red color. At the rim, there is also a transition in color towards garnet red. When swirling the wine glass, one can perceive an unparalleled balance in this red wine, as it does not appear watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. It flatters the nose in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of plum, blackberry, blueberry and sour cherry. In addition, there are hints of red currant and sweet cherry.
On the palate, Sardarapati Areni Reserve from Voskeni Wines starts off delightfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the finish, this matured wine from the Armawir region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of raspberry and blackberry appear.
Vinification of Sardarapati Areni Reserve from Voskeni Wines
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Areni. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Voskeni Wines, only flawless grapes were harvested. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally drawn off.
