Sauvignon Blanc - Constantia Glen

The Sauvignon Blanc from Constantia Glen presents itself in a clear, bright straw-yellow color with lime-green reflections. It enchants with an enormously expressive bouquet that brings out aromas of gooseberry and nettle, supported by an intense spectrum of tropical flavors such as nectarine, guava and kiwi. A characteristic aroma of elderflower highlights the bouquet and adds depth and minerality. The powerful and textured palate convinces with a lively intensity. The creamy richness with citrus and yellow fruit flavors is wonderfully balanced thanks to the crisp acidity and nicely defined minerality. The small amount of Semillon gives this white wine its influential texture. Overall, a classic Constantia wine with beautiful elegance, length and a distinct structure. We recommend it with soup of honey roasted butternut squash finished with sage and pieces of Gorgonzola, with grilled, lightly smoked salmon finished with lemon and butter on a bed of salad with olive oil, and with Crottin de Chavignol on a warm baguette.
