Vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc from Vergelegen

The powerful Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa is a single-varietal wine, made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for the Vergelegen Sauvignon Blanc

This white wine from South Africa is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to stir-fried vegetables with fish, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto or veal and onion casserole.
