More information about The Ned Pinot Rosé - Marisco

The The Ned Pinot Rosé from the pen of Marisco of New Zealand's South Island shows a bright, color in the wine glass. This New Zealand wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 3.8 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this New Zealander naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. Due to its present fruit acidity, the The Ned Pinot Rosé is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.

Vinification of the The Ned Pinot Rosé from Marisco

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced cuvée The Ned Pinot Rosé from Marisco are Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes grow near rivers on New Zealand's South Island. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sandstone and gravel. Due to the moderating influence of the nearby river, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic complexity. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for The Ned Pinot Rosé are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for the The Ned Pinot Rosé from Marisco

This New Zealander is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to Japanese style fillet of turbot with vegetable julienne, red onion stuffed with couscous and apricots or Jamaican chicken drumsticks

with pineapple salad.

Awards for the The Ned Pinot Rosé from Marisco

This wine from Marlborough inspires not only us, no also well-known wine journalists lent it already medals. Among the evaluations are for the vintage 2020

Falstaff: 90+ points for 2020

"Light coral pink. Still somewhat yeasty on the nose, with aromas of rosehip and rose behind. In the mouth, I show a full-bodied wine with sweet palate fruit, with fine phenolics and a ripe acidity completely buffered by extract and richness."
