Vinification of the Villa Blanche Syrah by Calmel & Joseph

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Syrah. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Calmel & Joseph, only impeccable grapes were harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Languedoc. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and clay. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

This French wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to boeuf bourguignon, stuffed peppers or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
